In times of sorrow, turmoil, sickness and pain we are often running to the LORD, our stronghold. Let’s be honest within our own hearts as we each petition the LORD to bring freedom from the very times of sorrow, turmoil, sickness and pain. Are we are running to HIM to seek out relief from it all or are we running to HIM because we recognize our need for HIM in each of us?
I think that these times are the times in which I have either ran to the LORD throwing a tearful and often angry fits over various circumstances that I have faced- that none of us would want to go through except in retrospect or looking back over those times and being grateful for going through them.
There is a song called “Famous For” by Christine D’Clario and Tauren Wells 2020, that reminds me of those times, especially being in the midst of those circumstances and longing for the LORD to do what He was “famous for” in my life but not in HIS TIMING. I wanted to be gone instantly, like the parting of the Red Sea.
