Read Psalm 119 over 22 DAYS as we dive into a time of solitude and reflection each day . Let’s take the time to be quiet , focusing our hearts and mind on the LORD in the morning and then either in the afternoon or evening each day. Let’s grab an actual paper or hardback printed Bible, a notebook, pen, pencil and highlighter BUT if YOU only have access to electronics Bibles go to them by all means and read them. I do encourage you to order one to have of your own to keep on the table From https://www.christianbook.com !
I am currently Reading the Amplified Journal the Word Bible published by Zondervan but I also use the You Version Bible App when I am using my electronics.
Day ONE
Psalm 119:1-8 AMP
How blessed and favored by God are those whose way is blameless [ those with personal integrity, the upright, the guileless ], Who walk in the law [ and are guided by his precepts and revealed will ] of the LORD. Blessed and favored by God are those who keep His testimonies, and who [consistently] seek Him and long for Him with all their heart. They do no unrighteousness; they walk in the His ways. You have ordained Your precepts, that we should follow them with careful diligence. Oh that my ways may be established, to observe and keep your statutes [ obediently accepting and honoring them ]! Then I will not be ashamed, when I look [ with all respect ] to all Your commandments [ as my guide]. I will give thanks to You with an upright heart, when I learn [through discipline] Your righteous judgements [for my transgressions] I shall keep Your statutes; Do not abandon me [ when I fail].
Describe a person who has personal integrity by human standards using your own words?
Define the following terms from a dictionary:
- Guileless
- Precepts
- Statutes
- Transgression
- Diligence
Describe in your own words, a person, who is blessed and favored by God according to Psalm 119:1-8.
Are there any other scriptures that the LORD has brought to your mind? If so, list them and how can they applied to your life, today?
Close with a time or worship either in song or with a journal and write your praises down. Then take the time to pray and listen for the LORD to speak to YOU!
