Shattered dreams.

Focused memories.

Shattered, broken, and restored

All through the lens of the cross.

Who am I that I should harbor memories and shattered dreams?

I am just as guilty as those who wronged me.

As I look through the lens of the cross,

Where my best friend took HIS final breath;

Spoke these words, “It is finished!”

I am suddenly become undone.

My own heart became pierced with the realization,

“My sinfulness crowned HIM with thorns, which dug deep into His head.

My sinfulness beat HIM till He bled.

My sinfulness nailed HIM there to the cross.

My sinfulness pierced His side.

For this reason and this reason alone,

Did HIS Father send send His powerful Spirit to come upon Mary

And she would bear a Son and call HIM Jesus!

With Christmas I remember His birth.

With Communion I remember His death.

With Easter I remember His resurrection and ascension.

“For God, so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. ” John 3:16
