Where do we as believers in Jesus Christ go to in the midst in the midst of persecution? Do we press into HIM or do we cower in fear and turn away from Him in the midst of danger? How do you define persecution?
Those are just some questions to consider as you pray for those that you know who are in dire circumstances or even you don’t know them personally but you have heard of them. I have written my own definition of persecution in earlier posts but I am going to restate it on this post.
I define persecution as this:
The enemy’s reaction to the power and presence of God’s Character being displayed in a believer’s life as a result of obedience to Christ.
- Pray for our fellow brothers and sister in the Lord who are in the midst of persecution in various places around the earth and including your own family and friends.
- Pray for them to grow and stay committed to the LORD as they under go trials and tribulations.
- Pray for peace and for wisdom to continue to press into the LORD as they are undergoing great upheaval within the nations they are in.
- Pray for the Holy Spirit to move upon in such a way that not only encourages them but gives them the ability to be used by You to do mighty miracles within these nations and indeed around the world.
- Pray for the LORD to increase the numbers of those Follow Him and are willing to be used by HIM to reach the world.
