Busted and broken dreams
Fill your mind as you try to sleep
What you have longed for so long
Has turned into a pile of ash and soot
It is at this moment as bitter tears begin flow
You cry out to the LORD,
I had planned for many things in my dreams
But now none of what I chose for my life is coming to pass
My hopes and dreams are busted and broken
My soul is in anguish within me.
Just then a gentle voice speaks and looking around
All you see is a quilt square with a scripture
with Isaiah 41:10 written inscribed on it
Are these words, ” Do not fear, for I Am with you.”
You look and read the verse,
Realizing that the gentle voice is speaking at this time
Was the LORD and as He speaks
Your tears begin to disappear as HE questions your soul ,
“You had many plans, hopes and dreams that can never be.
I see the paths that your desires have been on and its outcome,
And in MY mercy I caused them to busted and broken.
In order to bring you into a place your soul,
Where I, I alone am YOUR God and KING above all else.
Do not be disappointed My child for I love you with a steadfast and enduring love, for what you thought was best would only lead you to destruction.
So ,take MY hand once more and follow ME on the path that I will direct your life to take.”
