Who are the faith-filled among the nations of the earth?
Psalm 13:5-6
But I have trusted in Your faithfulness;
My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.
I will sing to the LORD,
Because He has looked after me.
How has the Lord looked after you and those you love so far this year? I am approaching my 46 the birthday this month and while my birthday has often stirred up mixed emotions for me. This year is no different, however I feel more grateful to the Lord for bringing me through it all.
I have often prayed the following words:
“Keep me broken and always in need of You, Lord.”
When I have prayed this my heart’s intention is to be humble.
When I wrote the post The Face Of Tragedy and in it was written the following words that the LORD spoke to me as I encountered various things that I had dealt with then.
I can still hear the LORD saying to me that all the stuff that I went through then and all through the years since, “IT is for MY glory and not Your own.”
When I worked as a cashier in my early twenties , in my eyes, I thought that it was not what I truly wanted and that the this position was beneath me. I was full of arrogance and wanting God to make all the circumstances in my life to be done in my own way and in my own time frame. I was in a miserable pit of depression even when I started writing this blog back then as an outlet to express my emotions and the gratefulness of my salvation story and the words that the LORD has allowed me to share since then as well as poetry and through time in the scriptures.
Now, that I have been a cashier again from the age of 37 until present I can tell you that the Lord has changed my heart and I want to share the title of a book that I often read especially when times are hard and I want to quit work and that is the following.
NEVER GIVE UP! by Joyce Meyer
Along with the following thoughts:
“God is the one who opened the door for me to receive the position that I am in. HE is My ultimate Provider and gives me the strength, peace, wisdom and patience to work with people and to serve them as an ambassador of the Kingdom of GOD here on earth. The God of Angel Armies is always with me.”
I will make a few declarations for my 46th birthday based on the following scriptures:
- For freedom Christ has set you free; stand therefore and do not submit again to the yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1
- Therefore now, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:1-2
I started this post earlier this month but I am just now finishing it up now and it my birthday will soon be here. Be blessed and may the Lord continue to be faithful to us all.
