Write out John 8:21-30 from your favorite study Bible and if you don’t have access to one download the You Version App or go to http://www.biblegateway.com. I am using one of my favorites versions but you can use another one to compare with if you desire to do so.
Mark and highlight what stands out to you the most then explain why they stood out to you?
What other scripture references come to mind when you read the passage and list them. Ask the LORD to give you insight.
What was Jesus speaking to the people about?
Whose authority did Jesus have to speak and why?
Read Psalms 1 & 2 and write out how these two Psalms could relate to Jesus ?
Where was Jesus going? Why could the people not come?
In closing today’s journey, have a time of focused prayer and reflection over this passage. Who or what comes to your mind to pray for. List them and write a prayer for them. Keep them to pray those prayers again.
