Psalm 42:1-2 NASB
As the deer pants for the water brooks,
So my soul pants for You, God.
My soul thirsts for the living God;
When shall I appear before God?
Do you experience a deep longing within your soul for the Living God? A longing grows longer each time that you are away from even a moment of being in His word. My heart has been longing for the LORD to move in mighty ways in those around me. I am currently very aware of my own need and desire to to be before His throne and in His word more often than I do. No matter how much time I spend in the Bible, in Prayer, or allowing my soul to worship Him, I find that I am longing for more.
The time is now. The time to come into the Lord’s presence is now. Come with no expectations of what you may experience when you are in His presence.
- Pray for a great awakening within those that are truly born again. Especially for those that have allowed their hearts to harden because the LORD did not answer in the way that they had expected.
- Pray earnestly for a transformation within those that have walked away from Him.
- Pray for an outpouring of the LORD’s spirit upon those who live in high crime areas as well as those with high poverty rates.
- Pray for the LORD to break the barriers within each of our lives who profess His name to proclaim what the LORD has done in our lives.
- Pray for a renewed desire to steep into the LORD’s presence through His word, prayer and worship times.
In all these things may we be a people who are called by HIS Name to be HIS Hands and Feet to those around us. AMEN!
