Sweet Mystery

When you were a mystery to discover in my heart as you weave my life into an exquisite tapestry with quilting my life with the saving scarlet thread with Your Name inscribed deep within my heart; I marvel at the sight of my history as You unfold and craft each block of it.

I am amazed by the sweet mystery of grace as You spoke and designed each square and intricate detail into existence. Within each circumstance that I face , I feel the Divine Seamstress applying the tension just as two pieces of a quilt block are sewn together on a machine under the “feed dogs” if not held and guided through the machine properly by the Seamstress the resulting product could be in need of immediate repair. If one looks at only at the finished product and thinks it’s okay but doesn’t press the seem out or check the stitches to see if it sewn correctly, one could easily end up having to use a seem ripper to take the stitches out. I have once made a quilt for my oldest niece 14 years ago and it fits a twin size bed; I had guidance from a great friend who allowed me to use her machine to make it . It took me about 3 days to put it together and as a person who is left handed who learned how to use rulers, a cutting mat and a rotary cutter is a great feat to accomplish . Each fabric is carefully chosen by the Quilter and when the project is finished and given as a gift or is purchased at a store the recipient has no idea how much time, money, effort and energy goes into making it. Likewise as God has “ knit each one of us in our mother’s womb.” Each cell of the body is created and designed by God just as created Adam and Eve and breathed into them the breath of life. Does anyone appreciate all that God did for them from the time that one is crafted in the womb, birthed and then grow old, as some hope to live a long life? Yes the Lord gave us free will in the Garden even knew before the creation of everything that mankind would choose to rebel as a result of believing a lie from the enemy, whom I believe was given the opportunity to sin. Does anyone truly appreciate all that Jesus did on the cross for all mankind. The gift of salvation and the restoration of His love and His presence is something that I am truly thankful and grateful for. What about you?
