God’s Provisioning, John 6:1-15

I know that I have put a pause on the study of John for quite sometime, but now I feel led to once again dive into the gospel of John and continue the study. Read and reflect over John 5:30-47 and to refresh your memory.

Now continue reading John 6:1-15 and if you were to give this portion of scripture a title what would it besides the one that I called this section:

Why was there a large crowd following Jesus at this time?

John 6:3 ESV

Jesus went up on the mountain, and there he sat with his disciples.

Why did Jesus go up on the mountain and sit with his disciples?

How many Passover feasts has the gospel John mentioned already so far in these 6 chapters?

Why did Jesus lift up his eyes and who did he see?

Why is the Passover significant to mention in this chapter as the disciples asked, how are we going to feed so many people?

How much bread and fish did they have among themselves?

How many baskets were filled with each and was there any left over?

When the crowds saw what Jesus did, who did the people say Jesus was?

If you were on the scene upon the mountain with the crowds what would your response be, to who Jesus is?

What did Jesus think that the crowd was going to do? Why?

Where did Jesus go and why?

Now to close today’s journey in John lets seek the LORD for His provisioning in our lives whether its is a physical, mental ,emotional or any other need: List them below and then ask the LORD in what way does intend to fulfill your needs. Then consider, Are my needs legitimate needs that you must have to live in this life or is it something that you just are craving to fill a want or desire in replace of the LORD? Food for thought!
