1st Corinthians 16:13-14 NLT
Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith.Be courageous. Be strong. And do everything with love.
Philippians 4:8-9 NLT
And now dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me- everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.
I am currently going through the Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer, for my third time with a group of women at my local church. For some of the women, it may be their first , second or third time through it as well. I first did it in 2007, then in 2017 and now in 2024. I agree with each of the facilitators as we have three different women lead the group that everyone should go through this study or at least read the book once a year. I’ve been working on the questions in the revised workbook this afternoon and I am only on the first question on page 5 of the workbook after writing what stood out to me. I will share my personalized question and it is this
How does Satan attempt to defeat me, personally? List them. Yes, you read right, I said, “List them”. I decided to answer my own question in a college -ruled notebook, which the pages are 8.5 by 11 inches. Guess what my answer fills up half the page so far and before I could finish the answer God directed me to share the question to see if it would benefit someone else.
So, by now, you maybe wondering why I brought that this study up on this post about Prayer Points and how does it relate to prayer: Here are the reasons below to pray and consider for February 2024.
- Go back and read 1st Corinthians 16:13-14 and then pray about the following: how you can be bold and step out of your comfort zone to share about Christ to someone either by being kind or by sharing about what GOD has done for you?
- Ask the Holy Spirit to both convict you daily about your thoughts and to question your motives and attitudes before you speak what you are thinking.
- Memorize and dwell on Philippians 4:8-9. Write it on an index card and tape it in a place that you would see it daily.
- Make a list of the people, places or even circumstances that come to your mind and ask the LORD to show you how to pray for these things.
