Do you see the ashes fly by us
As the Lord refines us?
Do you see all the muck and the mire
Of the pit fade away
As the Lord lifts you up out of the pit?
What is the cry of your hearts,
Children of the Lord Most High?
Is He able to do anything
Beyond what we can ponder with our minds?
He has redeemed us from the pit!
He is in the process of refining us
Until the great day,
When we will see the LORD in all His glory.
For the earth and all that is in it will vanish,
As the Lord creates a new earth.
Where, He, Himself, will be the only light by which we will see!
