The battle rages all around me
The clashing between the God of Angel armies and our common enemy, the devil, rages on,
The battle rages daily even sometimes from within my soul.
I have a choice to make in those moments to deny my flesh and surrender to the LORD.
“Come out of the boat and walk towards ME”, Jesus said to Peter.
The boat was in the middle of a lake at that time.
Peter got up at once and stepped out of the boat and walked upon the water towards Jesus.
Halfway to HIM, Peter took his gaze off Jesus and focused on the waves and the wind instead.
What happened next is the same thing that happens to me when I take my gaze off Christ then I can become engulfed by the battles that rage around me and within me. That’s right !
Peter began to sink just as I do in moments of intense battles, but just like Peter I have a choice to make to call upon Jesus and grab a hold of His hand and be lifted to safety within His embrace.
Yes, indeed the battle rages on all around each and every day and when I feel like giving in instead of surrender that’ s when I am reminded that the battle has already been won for my soul and whose child I truly am. During moments of intense battles remember He, that is the God of angel armies is the ONE WHO is doing the fighting for you. He’s already won the battle just “kneel before HIM when life is too much and pray.
