Greatly Rejoice, 1st Peter 1:6-13

Go back and read through the last post and also reflect over all the answers you wrote down .

1st Peter 1:6-9 ESV

In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith-more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire- may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Though you have not seen him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

In what ways has your faith been currently tested so that you can give thanks to the LORD for it?

How often do we ask the LORD to change our circumstances when we are being tested instead of asking the LORD to search our hearts and show us how we need to respond to those circumstances? I have been guilty of throwing fits of all kinds of emotions at once while in difficult situations and GOD had me stay in those situations until I turned my heart towards HIM instead of changing my circumstances. Anyone has had this experience please explain your answer.

1st Peter 1:10-13 ESV

Concerning this salvation , the prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched for and inquired carefully, inquiring what person or time the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating when he predicted the subsequent glories. It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to those who preached the good news to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels long to look.

Do you take time to sit, think and dwell on the word of God ?

Close with a time of prayer and thank the LORD for all the things He has done in your hearts through your circumstances, whether you faced them a while back or you are currently in a difficult period of time. Bless each one of my readers, and speak to their hearts as they come to celebrate Thanksgiving in the United States but also may those around the world give thanks for the things which you have brought them through this year.
