Psalm 115:1-2 ESV
Not to us, O LORD, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness.
Why should the nations say, “Where is their God.?”
What is your response to that question?
What would be your response if a person asked you personally, ” Where is your God?”
I will tell you, Where My GOD is and more importantly who My GOD is!
My God, said, “Let there be… and all that you see in the earth, skies, and sea came into being through the spoken word of the LORD. My GOD is the one and only living GOD. When GOD spoke to Moses from the burning bush, “I AM WHO I AM” that is the name which Moses told the people of Israel when he returned to Egypt from Midian .(Read Exodus 3)
My God, said to Abraham, “Take your son, your only son-yes Isaac, whom you love so much-go to the land of Moriah. Go and sacrifice him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will show you.” (Read Genesis 22:1-13) As Abraham was about to sacrifice Issac the LORD , My GOD, called out of heaven not to harm Isaac for the LORD knew Abraham feared HIM and did not withhold his only son from HIM. Abraham looked and there was a ram caught in a thicket or bush and he sacrificed the ram in the place of his son. This location became known as “The LORD will Provide” Jehovah Jireh. (Read Genesis 14-18) .
Recount the The Promises that the LORD, MY GOD gave to Abraham in Genesis 15, Isaac in Genesis 26, and Jacob in Genesis 35:9-15. Did the LORD keep HIS PROMISES to HIM?
The Day of Atonement as the LORD, MY GOD instituted with Aaron the HIGH PRIEST and where it was to be done on. Read Genesis 30:1-10 and describe in your own words what the passage is about. Read Leviticus 23 and then read the four gospel accounts about of crucifixion Jesus as well as Hebrews 9.
Then write out your answers to the following questions and use the scriptural evidence to back up your answers in your own words.
How does Jesus fulfill the position of High priest as well being the sacrificed lamb?
Reflect over the whole post and then read the resurrection accounts of Jesus in the gospels and describe how Jesus is part of the triune GOD who is the living GOD referenced in Exodus 3. Last but not least reflect on what GOD has done for you personally through this post as well as time in GOD’s Word this month.
