August 2022 “Keep Us broken”

Are you hungry for God’s word?

Are you thirsty for His presence?

Are you ready to be broken so that God can use you in the midst of a barren wasteland?

Are you already in a place of brokenness where you have nearly given up hope?

Listen, press into God. Seek Him with an attitude of a grateful heart. It is challenging to remain grateful to God in the midst of pain and were you feel all alone. BUT that is right where God wants you to be. The painful tragedies of this life are designed by GOD to humble us and bring us to a place where we can be used by HIM.

Are you relieved that a painful and heart-wrenching circumstance you were in is over and all you want to do is settle in for a while to remain at rest? I understand, I feel the same way, BUT GOD, reminded me of a prayer that I wrote in the form of a poem called, Keep Me Broken. Basically what I prayed was to keep me broken and always in need of HIS grace. I was reminded of this at the church that I attend regularly. The Pastor put into words another way, and it was this: “Are you willing to be led into the wilderness by GOD, who rescued you from a previous time in the wilderness to go through another challenging time?” When I heard that GOD reminded of what I had prayed previously and although I might like to live in a place of continuous rest, GOD said to me, ” You have not arrived at your final destination in your walk with ME. What you experienced in MY presence then was meant to prepare you for the next wilderness journey. Yes, you may rest for a little bit but your journey into the “promise land” is far from over. Don’t settle with where you are but be eager and willing to go where I am leading you now.”
