Psalm 12:1-4 ESV
Save, O LORD, for the godly one is gone; for the faithful have vanished from among the children of man. Everyone utters lies to his neighbor; with flatterig lips and a double heart they speak. May the LORD cut off flattering lips, the tongue that makes great boasts, those who say, “With our tongue we will prevail, our lips are with us; who is master over us?”
Read James 3 ESV in its entirety and then go through write all the verses that speak to you about the tongue and then any other thoughts that you may have on the way that we as the church and as individual believers use tonuges to speak to one another.
Read Philipians 4:6-9 ESV and consider how you can apply this passage to your own speach as well as your own thoughts this month? Write it out in a journal if you need too.
Some resources that I have used in doing this are as follows and its been recommended for me at least to read the books once a year and if you so desire do the workbook again. I suggest that if you write in pen like I do then get a fresh new workbook.
