Psalm 118:6-9 ESV

The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? The Lord is on my side as my helper; I shall look in triumph on those who hate me. It is better to trust in the LORD than to trust in man. It is better to trust in the LORD than to trust in princes.

Are you fearful? Are you afraid to turn on the news or to leave your home with all the violence escalating in the world today? Does it keep you from being obedient to what the LORD has called to do this day?

Do not forget whose got your back? Do not be afraid to do all that the LORD has called you to do. Get up each day knowing that the LORD guards you and yes even if harm comes to you in the way of persecution realize its not you but Jesus through you who is being persecuted. Persecution is simply put as evil’s reaction to presence and character of God which is demonstrated through a obedience to His call or purpose in your life.

Deuteronomy 32:9-12 NIV Read OUT LOUD

For the LORD’s portion is his people, Jacob his allotted inheritance. In the desert he found him, in a barren and howling waste. He shielded him and cared for him; he guarded him as the pupil of his eye, like an eagle that stirs up its nest and hovers over its young, that spreads out its wings to catch them and carries them aloft. The LORD alone led him; no foreign god was him.

Pray to the LORD for all the things that burden you as you come into May 2022 and may Mother’s Day be a blessing to all those who are women of the LORD and in particular all those women who not been able to birth children of the flesh but who are led to the LORD as their spiritual children. List all your concerns to HIM and then diligently seek HIM in prayer and then don’t be afraid to be obedient to the LORD.

I am reminded of two of my favorite worship songs. Find and listen to it if you are able to do so and if you know it sing it through the month of May or whenever you are afraid sing it to the LORD.
