January 2022

Psalm 90:15-17 Amplified Topical Reference Bible

Make us glad in proportion to the days in which You have afflicted us and to the years in which we have suffered evil. Let Your work [the signs of Your power] be revealed to Your servants, and Your [glorious] majesty to their children. And let the beauty and delightfullness and favor of the LORD our GOD be upon us; confirm and establish the work of our hands – yes, the work of our hands confirm and establish it.

Philippians 1:6 AMPC

And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return] and perfecting and bringing into full completion in you.

We are fourteen days into the month of January 2022 and for me it has been challenging to keep things into perspective of looking forward instead of going back and trying to make sense of all the heartache and loss I both seen and experienced. The Lord keeps telling me again and again that He has this year in HIS Hands just like all the rest. He keeps telling me to dig deeper and deeper with intentional diligence to pursue HIM the KING of KINGS and the LORD of LORDS. It is no accident that we are each living the appointed seasons in the your own life and corporately. I have been in a tough place over the past almost six years but the LORD continues to meet me. I never would have conceived the remotest possibility of what all that has taken place during that time and I won’t go into details suffice it to say that Jesus Christ stills rules and reigns in my life and HE is the Only ONE worthy of all my hope and devotion. Can you say the same thing at this moment as you take stock of all that has gone on in your own life over the past two years?

Can you say that He is LORD of your life even if:

  1. If you loose a loved one perhaps in separation, divorce or as a result sickness?
  2. You lost your job as a result of the pandemic?
  3. You still have a job but or are forced to work an insanely amount of overtime or you have to at least 2-3 jobs in order to survive?
  4. If you are stuck in what you feel is a no win scenario in your life?

Take some time and consider seeking the LORD for what ails you.

Read Philippians 1:8-14 and perhaps write out any other scriptures including this one that come to your mind by the power of the Holy Spirit.
