Read Jeremiah 8:1-17 in any of the following : ESV, AMPC, and KJV and write out the words or phrases that speak to your hear and then beside them write out why they spoke to you.
Read Jeremiah 8:4-10 in the ESV or KJV and list the way(s) that this passage could apply to those that believed in the Lord at one point in their lives and perhaps even your own life.
Are there any passages that come to your mind at this moment that could relate to this passage from Jeremiah 8:4-10, If so, list them and give an explanation of how theses passages relate to passage in Jeremiah?
Read and reflect on Jeremiah 8:11-17 as you answer the following:
- How has the leaders of the Church spoken to their own people from within the Church at large proclaiming peace when there has been no peace among them? Look for New Testament Examples first and then reflect upon the Church of today or during your lifetime or from personal experience even and list them?
2. How have you as a believer in the LORD searched for peace and a time for healing but it did not come at least in the way you may have wanted it?
3. What represents the serpents and adders that can’t be tamed or charmed that are coming against the Church at large and then to you personally even that the LORD sent to bite or test you?
4. Do you recognize that the LORD is in control of all you listed for the answer in the question above, if so list how the LORD is using the devil at bring the Church corporately and personally to their knees and why?
