Since I am up reading my Bible, I have turned to the book of Ephesians and now that there are questions filling my mind. Now, it is time to start writing them down in the form of a study . I am going to take my time so be blessed as you go through the book of Ephesians with me. Enjoy!
Read Ephesians 1 out loud if possible the first time through and then read just Ephesians 1:1-14 and consider the following questions:
- Who wrote the book of Ephesians and to whom was it written?
2. Where was Ephesus located during the time this book was written?
3. In what modern day country is the city of Ephesus located today?
4. Who do you consider faithful to Christ Jesus in your close circle of friends and why?
5. Do these friends inspire you to be faithful to Christ Jesus, if so how?
6. Write down all the blessings that you find in Ephesians 1:3-14 and note how each blessing has been given to you personally as believer in Christ Jesus.
Read Ephesians 1:15-23 and then answer the following.
- How many times did Paul give thanks for the saints in Ephesus and why? What had he heard about them?
2. In what way(s) have you had the “eyes of your heart enlightened” in your own life with the Lord?
3. Have you experienced the “immeasurable greatness of His power” in your life and give some examples as testimony of the LORD’s power in your life below.
4. Where is Christ seated and what was given to Him?
Now, go back and read Ephesians 1, one more time through and this time reflect over the questions. Then summarize in your own words the chapter below without loosing its meaning.
