Read Malachi 2:1-9 ESV and the Message. Ponder on the following questions while seeking the LORD for the answers and write them down.

  1. What is the command that the LORD gives the priests and consequences if they do not listen and heed the command of the LORD?

2. How does this passage apply to the believers in Christ around the world and particularly in the country you reside in?

3. Does this passage apply to you on a personal level and if so, why?

4. In what ways have you been personally influenced by the watering down and mislead by the leaders in the church concerning teachings that contradict the Word of the LORD which is the BIBLE? What about the body of Christ at large?

5. Can you identify any false teachings, if so what are they and list them below?

6. If you are in a place of authority in the body Christ and have either been influenced or taught teachings contrary to the BIBLE please seek the LORD and repent in public with what the LORD has shown you about this? Then ask forgiveness of anyone you have taught or led astray.
