Malachi, 1:6-14


Read Malachi 1:6-14 ESV or other translation and ponder the following questions:

“A son honors his father and a servant his master. If then I am a father where is my ____________? And if I am a master where is my ________? Says the ______________ of ____________ to you, O priests, who despise my name. But you say, ‘How have we despised your name?’

Are we the believers of the LORD being asked by the LORD the same question as He asked the priests of Israel in Malachi’s time when this book was written? Why or Why not? Explain your answer.

From a personal standpoint is the LORD asking you the same question as he asked the priests. Spend some time seeking the LORD in silence actively waiting to hear HIS response to you. Then write down what the LORD says to you.

Read Malachi 1:7-14 and note how the priests were treating their duties of giving offerings and then compare it with your own personal life with the LORD.

Come before the LORD and seek HIM and write down anything that the LORD tells you to do and then write a prayer of thanksgiving to the LORD for what He has shown you.
