O my Strength, I will watch for you, for you, O God, are my fortress.
Psalm 59:16 ESV
But I will sing of your strength; I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning. For you have been to me a fortress and a refuge in the day of my distress.
Have you made the LORD your fortress and refuge in this earth on a daily basis? Is the LORD your Strength and have you watched for HIM in your day-to-day activites?
In the earth today there is much violence and there is much in this world that could cause one’s heart to grow cold and bitter against the LORD. I want to encourage you to let the LORD be your source of Strength, a fortress and a refuge in times of distress even if it may seem trivial to you.
Allow yourself to run to HIM in prayer at the first sign of distress instead of the last when you can’t bear it no more on your own. Seek the LORD to change your heart and ask HIM to give you discernment or wisdom about how He sees the earth and what HIS desires are for the earth and those that live in it.
Petition HIM about anything and everything that weighs you down and then submit to HIS Lordship in your life with all that you are.
Let the LORD change your hearts in the situation instead of asking GOD to change the situation to what you desire in it.
Finally, be blessed in the knowledge that the ever present Lord of the Universe is there with with you even in the darkest times. HE knows the end from the beginning and everything in between.
