Prayer: Persistence & Patience

Have been in a difficult circumstance and keep asking the Lord why He doesn’t answer your prayers in that circumstance. I have been there many times and each time that I ask HIM , Why? He tells me, to wait especially when The LORD has given me direction in my own life and that direction seems so far from where I am at. I am not talking about just waiting in silence although HE may bring you to the point where He is requiring you to actively wait in solitude for a period of time. In my own life recently the Lord has told me to wait in solitude in order to hear what HE has to say? Maybe you are in this position now.

There have been many difficult circumstances in which I did not see the outcome for many, many years and then it was not the outcome I wanted but it was an answer to many persistent prayers over the years. I prayed for many years for the LORD to bring some of my loved ones to HIS Kingdom and for relationships to be restored. Finally this past week the LORD answered by saying, “He has shut the door on my past and that each time my mind decides to go there and even my dreams. He has told me to shut the door on it and not to dwell on it and He had brought me into a new season in my life. Sometimes my heart just aches for these loved ones but since He told me that each time my mind wants to bring them memory to release them and say that they are in HIS control and do with them what you will.

I said, all that to say: IT is GOD who chooses those who are in HIS kingdom. The Lord does not desire for anyone to live apart from HIM that was why He sent HIS only Son Jesus to be crucified on the cross becoming sin for us and that through belief in HIM we have new life. John 3:16-19

In Malachi 1:1-3 ESV “I have loved you, says the LORD. But you say, How have you loved us? Is not Essau Jacob’s brother? Declares the LORD. Yet I have loved Jacob and hated Essau.”

God’s chosen seed was promised through Jacob and not Essau.

The LORD is in control and if you have any loved ones who do not yet know the LORD ask The LORD to choose to reveal Himself to them and release them to the LORD. After all He is the ONE who created them. He knows the plans HE has for them so give them to the ONE who KNOWS BEST.
