I have good news to share with you all today, beloved children of the Most High God, you are not alone when you pray. This may come as a surprise to those of you who new in the faith of Jesus Christ but I will explain it more in detail as you read on.
Read 2 Kings 6:8-23 and fill in the following verses from the passage. I am going to use the English Standard Version but you can compare it with the one which you read most often.
2 Kings 6:15-17
When the servant of the man of God rose early in the morning, went out and behold, an army with horses and chariots was all around the city. And the ___________ said, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” He said, Do not be _________, for those that are with us are more than those who are with them.” Then Elisha __________________ and said, “O, LORD, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the LORD _________ the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold the mountain was full of horses and chariots of _______ all around Elisha.
How many times have you been afraid to pray or do something that the LORD has called you to do out beyond the walls of the Church or even your own home? What was the result?
I want to emphasize that there are were more around Elisha than the enemy and that is true for the Christ followers of today. There is more going on in this world than our human eyes can see. There is a spiritual realm that is a part of this world to that is composed of created beings also. The angels are created beings and while God uses them on our behalf to fight against the real enemy of this world, who is also a created spiritual being, that is the devil and the demons that follow him. There is nothing that the devil can do that the LORD GOD Almighty does not allow for HIS own purpose in the earth today. So, the next time your in a difficult circumstance ask the LORD to show you what HE wants you to either learn or recognize from the circumstance. It could be that HE wants you to fervently seek HIM and submit to HIM in the circumstance whether it is a decision to be made or its something out your control and He is calling on you to seek Him on behalf of someone or something else.Intercession is the act of seeking and talking to the LORD about a situation or a person who is in need of divine intervention. Let me remind you all the LORD’s ways and thoughts are not the same as ours. (see Isaiah 55:8-9) This means that what you want God to do in a situation or in a person is not necessarily what HE wants or desires in it. Don’t be disappointed if the answer that you get is not what you want to happen. Rather rejoice for the LORD will get the glory from what you have prayed about it.
Let me close today by saying, You are not alone not only is the LORD with as spirit is with you as you pray and He will give you the words you are to pray and sometimes He may give you a language that you do not normally speak to pray and sometimes prophesy. He is faithful and just to give you or someone around you the interpretation if in a group. (See 1 Corinthians 12 and read the whole chapter and also Romans 8:26-30)
Dear Father,
Bless all my readers today and may they in some way be encouraged to press in and seek you today. In Jesus Mighty name Amen!
