Zechariah, The Day of the LORD

Today as I finish writing this study, I am amazed and rejoicing greatly that The Lord is continuing to speak to me in my heart. Zechariah is the first book I have written a whole study for and it excites me. May my readers continue to gain wisdom and discernment from the One who will return and gather His Beloved people. Today, as you study, keep and guard the treasure of His deep abiding love and faithfulness. The world in which we live is in being steeped into wickedness but we must not loose sight of the great hope we hold onto that The LORD will return in power and reign in glory. Do not be in despair for we know that our Redeemer lives, and His light will forever shine and grow brighter as we take up our cross and follow HIM daily. He will give each of us what we need in the moment we need it! Finally be blessed in the knowledge that He chose you in this moment in history to do HIS Work in the world. If we have knowledge without living and applying it to our lives what good is it really?

Now let’s begin by reading Zechariah 14 in the English Standard Version

From what you read in Zechariah 14:1-3, what does it say will happen on this day in history?

Who is going to fight the battle against the enemies of Jerusalem and indeed all the people of GOD?

Whose feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives? Are there any other biblical references that one could find to describe this moment in time? List them and the context to which it is in.

What will happen to the Mount of Olives on that day?

Where will the people flee and what will they be running towards? Why?

Where do you go in the midst of crisis is it to the Lord or the nearest idol in your own life? What are the consequences of both?

Who will come with the holy ones?

What is your purpose that the LORD is calling you to do in this moment of history?

What will be the conditions that the earth will undergo and be like on that day?

What are the living waters that will flow half to east and half to the west?

Is there any other references to living waters in Bible if so list them and describe what is happening in the passage?

And the ____________ will be king over all the earth. On that day the _________ will be one and his name one.

Take a moment right now to take stock of what you have learned through this study. Below write the ways in which you have personally been challenged by the LORD and in what areas you have grown as a result of this study.

May the Lord’s blessings be upon you all!

Sincerely,

Helen Marie Quick
