Zechariah, Gather & Redeem

Read Zechariah 10:6-12 King James Version

Verse 6 I will strengthen the house of ___________ and save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have __________ upon them: they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the Lord their God and will hear them.

What is the mercy of God?

Who makes up the house of Judah both in the Bible and at this present moment?

How does the LORD strengthen you as you grow closer to Him?

Is it through adversity, hardship and trial?

List any current hardships that you are facing and what do you currently feel about the God right now?

Take some time to reflect and answer the following :

Do you feel cast off or rejected by the Lord in your hardships?

Do you feel that He does not hear you cries for help and deliverance.

Take verse six and write down on an index card to carry with you or stick on the refrigerator with a magnet or even write it in a journal. As long as it something that you can take with you so that you can have it as a promise and use it as a prayer below. It may go something like this:

Dear God,

I thank you for strengthening myself and fellow followers of Jesus Christ who are joint heirs of the Covenant of Abraham along with the HOUSE of ISRAEL. I ask that as we all go through hardships, difficulties and trials that you would show us how to grow closer to you through them. Show us with each passing moment that you have not rejected us and that you hear us for you are a God of mercy. Grant us the mercy and strength to endure all these things in your mighty Name Amen for You are our God!

Read again Zechariah 10:7-12 and answer the following:

What are the blessings of going through times of hardships and sufferings? Are there any that you can think right away that you can praise God for the blessings along with your family and friends? If so, list them and share them.

How do you think others close to you view your witness of the LORD based on all the things you have been through recently compared to that of a month or even a year ago?

How has the LORD sown His people through out the whole earth and history into far off places?

Next, how has HE gathered HIS people from the nations of the earth through out history and redeem them and more importantly how did the LORD redeem you?

Think! Reflect! Seek the LORD!
