Zechariah, Visions 2&3

The second and third visions that Zechariah had are found in the following scriptures Zechariah 1:18-20; 2:1-5.

Let’s read and consider some questions pertaining to these visions.

The second vision of the night involved four horns and four black smiths: Who told Zechariah what the horns and the black smiths represented?

The four horns represented the nations that scattered the people of Judah, Israel and Jerusalem?

What were these four nations, write their names, if you know what they are and if not dig through the Bible? I am not giving the answers to any questions I give because I want those who choose to read and to do some research of their own.

Fill in the missing words in the following passage taken from the New Living Version copy write of 2015 by Tyndale House

Zechariah 2:5

“…Then I, myself will be a ___________ wall of _________ around Jerusalem, says the LORD and I will be the glory inside the city!”

Do you think that it is possible that this vision has a potential of multiple fulfillment? Give an explanation for your answer.

What does the wall that surrounds Jerusalem remind of in other scriptures and list them and why?

Is Jerusalem symbolically represent in this passage of scripture and is it possible that one of the the fulfillment of this vision is:

That all those that believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah and Lord of Israel and the whole earth for that matter represent those living inside and outside the walls of Jerusalem and that God’s glory resides in the hearts of all those that believe. The fire, I believe is the Holy Spirit that is living and active in the world today.
