Zechariah, A study

I have been immersing myself in the this prophetic book of the Bible on and off for the last year and half. So, I decided to write a little study about my thoughts and questions of what I see in this book and also how some of its prophecies have been fulfilled while there are others still yet to be fulfilled. I am intrigued and excited each time I read and immerse myself in different passages of scriptures. I hope that you don’t mind that I share my journey through this book with you! I will be using a few different versions of the Bible while I go through this journey. So, if you would like to use the You Version Bible app on a phone or an actual Bible to look the passages or you can look at http://www.biblegateway.com and blueletterbible.org on your smartphone , computer, and tablet.

Why are his father and grandfather mentioned in introducing Zechariah?

Dear Jehovah-sabaoath ( Lord of Hosts),

I ask that you continue to work into my heart and my mind all that you would have me to to learn and gain in understanding both my knowledge of the Word as well as how to apply it to my own life. May your Spirit speak and teach me as I dive into your word in this study of your servant Zechariah! In the Name of Jesus I pray, Amen!
