Be Determined

Be determined to know the Lord who is the all-knowing, all-seeing and ever-present God.

There is a song I heard as a young christian and it was written by Dean and Mary Brown and it is called I am Determined to know You Lord and it can be found on http://www.youtube.com . The chorus focuses on knowing The Lord and His power in one’s life. One of the lines in this goes “to know the power of the empty tomb”, I have been thinking about this and wondered do I truly live my life in the power of the empty tomb? Do I walk in the resurrecting power of Christ in such a way that others marvel and say how wonderful HE is because of what the have seen me go through.

When Jesus called Lazarus out of the tomb and then Jesus commanded others to unbind him from the grave-clothes. What a picture of ministry we are to follow when one receives salvation then the Lord uses others in unbinding of the grave clothes which represent their old way of life. We are His hands and feet in this world.

So, be intentional to know the Lord as not only as the Savior, Father, friend and Husband for the women who are divorced, single or widowed. Be intentional by coming to Him with every need you have whether it is emotional healing or for physical needs or healing. He is there to meet every need. You may not sense that He is there with you in the midst of everything that you are currently going through but that is why I keep a prayer journal. There are times The Lord tells me go back and look through my entries or even go to this blog and read what He has answered and often times not in the ways that I wanted Him to answer me.

Be determined in knowing Him by setting aside sometime to get to know Him. I am a visual person and would often just take a chair and visualize the Lord siting in it and I would get on my knees and lay my head on this chair as though I lay it in His lap and pour out my tears. Then He would speak, ” I know and I hear you. Trust Me to guide you through it. I love you!”
