Time For Purging The Soul

Yesterday I began to go through things in my living space and purge the those items I don’t use, got tired of or don’t fit. A thought came to me as I sat down to check my e-mail and that was, “It is time to purge my soul.” What does that mean I asked The Lord. The following things came to mind.

1. What does the Lord no longer want in my life?

2. Am I taking the time to seek Him in regards to those things or sins that have become a snare to me?

3. Have I repented of the things that The Lord has shown me?

The Lord is the One we need to seek in order to get cleaned out in our souls. No One but The LORD can do that for us. Sure we can others come along side us to provide ministry, counseling and prayer but it is THE LORD that does the work.

oxforddictionaries.com defines purge as

To rid someone from of an unwanted feeling, memory or condition. and it is derived from the Latin word purgare (purify) from purus (pure).

So, let’s consider the questions that I have posed in this entry and then Seek The Lord for the answers to the questions! Reflect and nourish your soul in the word this day!
