Entry # 3  Matthias chosen to replace Judas

After Jesus was taken into Heaven then the disciples left the Mount of Olives and went to Jerusalem. They devoted themselves to prayer in one accord.

Thoughts: What a joy it must be to the Lord to hear us pray in one accord without anyone’s agenda or plan coming forth. I believe God still delights to hear us pray with only His agenda being addressed but how often does that really happen in our lives. I would guess more often than not when we pray we do often wait to hear his response on a matter but rather ask God to bless the path or decision we have made.

Peter spoke to those that were gathered in the upper room. They were to pray to see who the Lord would choose to replace Judas Iscariot. When they had prayed they cast lots and chose Matthias. This was to fulfill what was spoken through David in the Psalms (69:25 and 109:8).
