I am reminded more and more that I need to pray more often through out the day. There is so much that happens in prayer that one might not know all of its ramifications this side of heaven. It is true that being in constant communication with God is essential to our very existence here on earth. In Proverbs 3:5-6 we are told to “Trust in the Lord with all of our heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct our paths.” Trusting in God does not always make sense in our finite and linear minds so I think that is why we need to be in constant contact with our Creator. I am making every effort to pray more often about things as they pop into my mind or decisions that have to be made. It is a discipline that takes time and effort to maintain. But we are required to be in constant communication just as Jesus was when He was on the earth. With my own eyes I can not see the full picture but God does. He knows the end from the beginning and everything in between. Sometimes I wake up at night and pray for the things that are coming to my mind and it may be for a person or a nation or circumstance that I am not even be aware of by my own human devices. I have also been reminded lately that my prayers are being heard and answered even though I may not hear or see the things I pray for being answered. Lord, help us all especially myself to pray more often and fervently in every circumstance I may face or whatever you bring to my mind by Your precious Holy Spirit. In Jesus Mighty Name Amen!
