A heartfelt Thank You

Thank you Lord, for this week.

Thank you for its challenges and lessons.

Thank you for your blood that cleanses me from sin.

Thank you for your body that was broken.

You took my sin and nailed it to the cross

Even this week’s failings did not surprise You

Yet I was rebellious and when You disciplined me

It brought me to tears and I will not forget the Lessons

I’ve learned or Your forgiveness and discipline

You are full of compassion, grace, and mercy

I thank you that Your mercy is new every morning

So, I ask for Your mercy to live each day to its fullest

I desire a humble heart before you

And because I’ve asked You for this in the past

I know it is a daily thing that I must do

So, I thank You for each day that begins anew

And thank You for forgiving me.
