It is 5:14 am and I am wide awake and have been so for about an hour now. My thoughts are stirring this morning.
Dear Father In Heaven,
For whatever reason I am awake right now and I ask that You would help me to use this time awake wisely. I ask that you be with the President Obama right now with whatever decisions he has to make at this moment and for the rest of the day. Help Him to make the right decisions using your wisdom for this country. I ask the same wisdom for the other leaders of the United States. I ask that you would guard our military men and women who are overseas and abroad this day and thwart the plans of the enemy whom ever that may be. Give the families of the fallen soldiers peace and comfort by Your Holy Spirit and let them know that You are with them Lord. I ask that you be with all those in law enforcement at this very hour as they patrol the streets and answer calls. I ask that you would save all those who are fighting fires this hour with Your mighty right hand. Keep them safe as they put out the fires, Lord Almighty. For all the EMS and 911 operators who are operating this hour I ask that you keep them alert and on task as they work to save lives at this hour. For all the medical personnel in this country I ask that you keep them awake and alert to perform their duties with only the precision that You can provide. I ask that you would encourage all my readers today with Your presence in their lives. May you bless them this day. Lord, thank you for this time to come before on behalf of others and thank you for what this day will hold for me. Lord, You are awesome in power. Your love knows no boundaries and I ask that you would send an outpouring of Your love into my city, state, nation and the world.
