Do you remember when you were a child and could not wait to open presents on Christmas morning? Perhaps you have children now that run under the tree shaking their presents hoping to figure out what they are. In both of those cases you can see or recall a child’s excitement and expectation. Do you and I experience that same excitement and expectation now when it comes to our walk with the God of the universe? I have to admit that I do not always feel that way but lately I have been excited about my time with the Lord. I need to have a heart that waits in expectation for the return of the living Lord whether or not He returns in my life time or not. I recognize that some of us Christians have been asleep for a while and have not been actively waiting for His return. What I mean by that is we need to be reaching out or doing whatever it is that Lord has called us to do here on the earth. Plan that this Christmas season is like no other and take the opportunity to spread the word that Jesus Christ will return and He won’t found in the manager this time. Let us all prepare our hearts for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ!
