The following has been my prayer scripture many times over the years and the Lord has shown Himself faithful over the years through it.
Psalm 143:8-11
” Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. Rescue me from my enemies, O Lord, for I hide myself in you.Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground. For your name’s sake, O Lord, preserve my life; in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble.”
There is a joy that comes in the morning when I spend time with Him.
Such joy is almost not able to comprehend;
its overwhelming at times.
It is at those times that I feel closest to the Lord!
O Lord, my God, when I think about all the things you have done
I cannot help but wonder what you have in store for me in the future!
Yet it is not for me to speculate about it
instead I have to trust in your Sovereignity and divine providence
for the things that I do not know.
Leave my dreams in the stillness of the night
Where you guard my thoughts and my very being
from the onslaught of the enemy.
